Assisted Living
Assisted Living
Los Angeles Jewish Health’s Assisted living community is an excellent option for seniors who require more day-to-day assistance with activities of daily life (ADLs) but who wish to remain independent for as long as possible.
Our Assisted Living community is more like a hotel with caregivers on-site. We offer a wide range of services including homemade kosher meals and free transportation to ensure residents maintain their health while feeling safe, happy and fulfilled. What defines this property as an assisted living community rather than an independent living or 55+ community is that it is regulated by the State of California and has employee caregivers.

Advantages of Our Assisted Living Community:
No more maintenance or yard work: Residents live in a home-like environment without worrying about property taxes, maintenance and home repairs. If a pipe leaks or the air conditioning stops working, the assisted living community is responsible for addressing the problem.
Social Engagement and Activities: A great option for seniors who may be experiencing loneliness. Living alone can become isolating, which can contribute to both mental and physical health issues. Here, residents participate in various stimulating activities together, including sharing meals, playing bingo, board games and painting; creating many opportunities for friendships to blossom.
Kosher Meals: Kosher food is prepared and offered to those who maintain a kosher diet and others who welcome a taste of tradition. Los Angeles Jewish Health goes beyond just serving kosher food. We also provide a Jewish environment, for example, the scheduling of Shabbat and Yom Tov meals. We prepare the Pesach Seder and holiday meals modifying menus to include special foods like hamantaschen, matzo ball soup and apples dipped in honey.
Greater Safety: Safety is one of the main concerns for older adults living independently at home. Risks range from serious falls to sudden illness. Assisted living communities provide a secure, comfortable and stress-free environment.
Spiritual Leaders: Rather than relying on community clergy to come when they can, our spiritual leaders are on-site, allowing seniors to carry on their cherished traditions. They provide compassionate visits, in-person pastoral care, lively conversations and meaningful activities.
Free Transportation: As we grow older, driving can become more stressful. Transportation is provided to shopping centers and community events, and can be arranged for medical appointments and other outings.
Better Nutrition: Typically, seniors need to eat smaller quantities of nutrient-dense food. Unfortunately, living alone may not always allow them to eat as they should. Residents of Los Angeles Jewish Health do not have to worry about grocery shopping or meal preparation. Instead, they can dine with others daily, enjoying various nutritious meals.
