The responsibilities of the Pharmacy Technician Lead include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Ensure a consistent stock level of medications, medical supplies, equipment, and other necessary items is maintained on the premises to meet the needs of residents.
- Respond promptly to requests and recommendations from the hospital and pharmacists.
- Fill and deliver unit dose carts as required.
- Prepare medications in accordance with medication orders.
- Accurately enter new medication orders into the computer system.
- Participate in the department’s quality management programs.
- Adhere to hospital and Pharmacy Services policies regarding inventory management, purchasing, receiving, and storing all pharmaceuticals.
Education and Experience:
- A valid Pharmacy Technician license.
- A minimum of six months of experience in a pharmacy setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer knowledge and typing skills.
- Knowledge of IV Laminar Flow Hood, or willingness to learn.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
