The responsibilities of the Pharmacy Technician Lead include, but are not limited to: 

Responsibilities:

• Ensure a consistent stock level of medications, medical supplies, equipment, and other necessary items is maintained on the premises to meet the needs of residents.
• Respond promptly to requests and recommendations from the hospital and pharmacists.
• Fill and deliver unit dose carts as required.
• Prepare medications in accordance with medication orders.
• Accurately enter new medication orders into the computer system.
• Participate in the department’s quality management programs.
• Adhere to hospital and Pharmacy Services policies regarding inventory management, purchasing, receiving, and storing all pharmaceuticals.

Education and Experience:

• A valid Pharmacy Technician license.
• A minimum of six months of experience in a pharmacy setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer knowledge and typing skills.
• Knowledge of IV Laminar Flow Hood, or willingness to learn.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
