Senior Living Community Driver - Per Diem

The primary purpose of your job position is to provide transportation services to the residents and mail and messenger services in an efficient manner, in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

The Driver’s responsibilities are but not limited to:

Responsibilities: 

• Plan and execute transportation routes efficiently while prioritizing resident needs and safety.
• Operate vehicles safely and responsibly according to state regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of passengers and vehicle operations.
• Assist residents with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Handle deliveries and pickups for the management team.
• Collaborate with other drivers and assist with special projects as needed.
• Follow schedules, take breaks as required, and respond to guidance from the management team.
• Report any concerns regarding resident health and welfare.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uphold the community's standards when representing the facility.

Experience and Skills:

• A valid California driver’s license.
• At least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous related experience is helpful.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Good communication skills to interact with residents, families, and the public.
• Physical ability to lift at least 25 pounds and assist in evacuations during emergencies.
